Sportello Quattro: Kevin Jerome Everson and Rome 2002 is a screening and conversation around a series of films realized in 2002 during the artist's time as a Rome Fellow at the America Academy in Rome. Sportello Quattro, a meditation the permesso di soggiorno and its administration, Pompei to Xenia, a reflection on natural disasters and Vanessa, a reconsidering of the Tondo Doni by Michelangelo are the backdrop for a conversation around Everson’s ongoing artistic production in Italy. The conversation that will follow the screening is with Villa Romana’s curator Mistura Allison, engaging notions of mentorship and chorality.
