Claudia Fromm arrived in Florence in 1999 and graduated in Romanistics, Germanistics and Art History in the programme of German-Italian bilateral studies at the Universities of Florence and Bonn. She has worked as a bookseller at Feltrinelli, but also as a lecturer at the Carlo Bo Institute for Linguistic Mediation and as a freelance interpreter and translator, an activity she still carries out today. She has been working at Villa Romana since 2012, where she takes care of the administration, coordinates the garden team, takes care of the needs of artists and mediates between the German institution and the Italian reality to make the programme possible in harmony with the Villa Romana team.
